The Right Rudraksha for Your Rashi
In Vedic astrology, wearing a Rudraksha suited to your Rashi (Moon or Sun sign) is believed to balance the energy of your ruling planet, clear obstacles, and invite peace and prosperity.
Here is a quick guide to finding the right bead for your Rashi, along with its ruling planet and the benefits it is said to carry.
Purify it first
Before first wearing, wash the bead in clean water or Ganga Jal, anoint it with raw milk or ghee, and chant “Om Namah Shivaya” 108 times — one full mala.
Choose the day
Monday, Thursday, or an auspicious occasion such as Mahashivratri are considered ideal for wearing it for the first time.
Insist on authenticity
Only a genuine, natural bead — usually of Nepali or Indonesian origin — carries the intended benefits.
